And the winner is...

A BOY!
Yep, we are expecting our first baby BOY!
This morning we had our Ultrasound and found out that we are definetly having a little Alan. When we walked into the Ultrasound, the tech asked if we wanted to know what we are having and we both answered "Yes!" so of course they tell you that they will let you know at the end once they check all the important things, i.e. brain, heart, you know! So before we walked in there I told Alan that was what they'd say so IF I saw before (knowing they would check thigh bones) I was going to tell him! And guess what? As the ultrasound tech measured the thigh bone I saw something peeking out and I poked Alan's shoulder and whispered "BOY!" At the end of the Ultrasound the Tech said "Okay, ready to know what you've having?" and I said "IT'S A BOY!" and she said "Yep, it's a boy!" Needless to say, we are super excited! We were in and out in 30 minutes, the Doc still needs to look at the images and confirm everything is healthy since we had the Tech do it, but I'm sure everything is all well! Can't wait till June 27th to meet our little guy!
(Sorry about the pictures, I dont have a scanner at home so they are photos of the photos!)

School is back in full swing...

Yep, that's right. Back in school. This week was our first week back into regular life from the holidays (aside from work) and I'm already counting down the days till May! Alan is in school every night except Fridays like me so our weekends are going to be cherished! :) We did get a long break but it always seems to fly by! This semester, in Block 2, already seems way more organized than Block 1 which I definitely like better but we also only have 300 points instead of 600 that are actually proctored into our 76% to pass the Block which I don't like because you don't have many chances to improve your grade with other points. I guess that means I have no lee-way on tests. Also this Block, we have more teachers than just one for Pharm and one for Theory, there are 4 total and Theory and Pharm are combine in class, not separate causing our tests to be the same and from 4 different teachers point of views, so that should be fun!
Tomorrow is the day Alan has been waiting for since going last year, MONSTER JAM! and this year the whole family is going so I cant wait to see the little looks on all the nephews faces! They are going to love it!
Next Thursday (the 29th) is the day I (and Alan) have been waiting for since October! Our 2D Ultrasound! I cannot WAIT to go to the ultrasound and see our little bugger growing healthy and finally put a gender to our addition! Most the family has been leaning towards a girl, which makes me think that is all the more reason to think its a boy! I asked Alan what he thought we were having (after expressing he wants a boy first to take care of our daughter, then saying a girl would be great too) and he said he "feels" like its a girl, but whenever I see the baby in an ultrasound I always think its a "he" I'm looking at....so we'll just wait and see! We just want a healthy little bugger, boy or girl! Everyone in the family has had a boy first and Alan has 3 brothers, no sisters so I think our boy odds are pretty high! :) I'll be sure to post next Thursday once we know!

Sunrise/Pinetop

On Friday after work Alan and I took off to Pinetop for the night so Alan could get some snowboarding in before school starts back up next week. I probably wouldn't have gone along being that I obviously can't ski or attempt snowboarding until the end of June but I wanted to spend some time together away before school too and it was nice to be in the snow! I also went along cause last year in June some of the family went to Canyon Lake to ski and wakeboard and Alan totally ruptured his pec major doing his crazy stunts on the wakeboard, so I wanted to make sure he would be okay and not do anything too crazy! Alan has needed an MRI and surgery for the last couple of months on his shoulder but REFUSES so when he mentioned snowboarding I made him a deal that if he went snowboarding and RISKED his bad arm he would then make an Appt for an MRI as soon as we returned home. Appt is Monday the 19th! :) Thanks babe!

Baby Appt #2

Yesterday Alan and I went to our second Baby Appt. Well...to start, my sister Sarah always rents a Baby Heartbeat Doppler when she is pregnant (you know, the same thing the Doctors use to hear the heartbeat at your appts) so Alan and I, of course, jumped on that ordering as soon as we knew we could hear the baby's heartbeat. So for the last couple of weeks Alan and I will use our Doppler at home to hear the baby's heartbeat and let me tell you, we are pros at finding it now! So yesterday at our appt the Doc was trying to find the heartbeat with the same kind of Doppler but she was waaay to high, but I wasn't going to tell her that since she's the Doc and I didn't want her to think I was trying to tell her how to do her job or anything! After a few minutes of no success (Side Note: If we didn't have a Doppler and known that the baby was fine, I probably would have been hyperventilating at this point) she decides to get none only than the ultrasound machine! Yeah! So lucky Alan and I got to see baby again and watch its little heartbeat tick away. It was super cool being that we got to see the baby kicking and moving around this time! Everything looks to be going along as planned and healthy. We have our 2D Ultrasound on the 29th that we are getting so anxious for to hear that everything is healthy and find out if Baby is an Alan or Alice!

Christmas

We got to spend this Christmas with my parents and of course all of the family! On Christmas Eve Alan and I and Mom and Dad spent the night at Sarah's so we could be there in the morning when Santa came! We had a great holiday this year full of family and fun not to mention sleep! We can't believe the Holiday season has already come to a close!
