1, 2, 3 Strikes your out!

Thanks to James and Megan, Alan and I were able to take Hyrum and Cole to the Diamondback baseball game on Saturday night. We had a GREAT time, the seats were so close and the boys loved being able to watch the game. Coley even got a played ball from the field!

The boys even got on the big screen! In the right hand corner, if you look closely you can see Alan waving (black shirt, gray hat) with Hyrum next to him and Cole next to Hyrum!

Abby Update

Abby is getting bigger and bigger by the day! She is such a small Lab and Luke is such a huge Lab, I can only imagine how big her belly will get before she has the pups. She is 7 weeks pregnant now, so she has less than 2 weeks to go.

Past Weekend

Well this past weekend wasn't a very exciting one (which are always the best kind). We hung out around home and went to dinner Saturday night. On Sunday we got to church 15 minutes early, which is record time for us even though we can't blame our lateness on kids (it's a new idea Alan had so we can sit closer to the front) and on the way I mentioned to Alan that the people that get to church early always get asked to say the prayer, and thats exactly what happened but we dont mind. It was nice to sleep in and catch up on a quite weekend with nothing to do. Tomorrow is the second placement for Nursing school..so kept your fingers crossed! My fingers are tripled crossed! Anyways, that's about it! :)

Official

It's official....Abby's pregnant. (For those of you who don't know Abby, she is our pup) Alan and I have tried not to believe it and actually ignored her ever growing belly, but it was confirmed last night when we brought her upstairs for bed and she laid down with her belly sticking out for us to see. It was almost like she KNEW we didn't believe her. So I figured out a timeline...while we were babysitting Sarah and Dan's kiddos early in Feb I rememeber Alan talking to my brother David on his birthday and mentioning Luke and Abby together, which means we have less than 25 days to prepare for puppies. Abby is already 36 days or 5 weeks into her pregnancy and normally dogs are pregnant 60-63 days or 9 weeks. So after realizing she is knocked up I did a little research on the internet and talking to my brother. (David and Lindsay had 8 boxer puppies 2 yrs ago) I have to admit I'm pretty nervous about the whole birthing part even though Abby is a good dog and will take care of it, I just KNOW she is going to find some random place in our home to birth her puppies! (i.e. the closet or under the bed) So let me know if anyone is looking for a puppy cause in about 2 1/2-3 months we'll have some for sell! (Mom, you know, Mattie really needs a friend to play with, she's lonely outside all day!) :)

Thankful Thursday

My sister in law Megan sometimes writes why she's grateful it's Friday on her blog and since it's always so much fun to read I decided today I'm thankful for Thursday for a few reasons. Here they are:

-In about 4 hours I will be off work and on my way to California. Which brings me to thankful reason #2...
-No work tomorrow so it's like TODAY is Friday!
-Long weekend even though today and Sunday include a 6 hour drive, we are going in Leah and Carl's van which means entertainment by Imi and Ma'a there and back.
-Even though I did not get placed in nursing school this last placement, I did receive an email (after a not so nice email sent by yours truly) from the director of nursing stating they do placement for fall until August, to be patient because I'm in a "good place"...leaves me hopeful.
-Last night I signed on to my school account and saw a 94% on my Statistics test taken earlier that day.
-No school next week SPRING BREAK!
-Get to visit Dad and Mom this weekend
-Got an email today showing everything being built around my town including Target, Home Depot, Red Robin, Chili's, Old Navy, etc.
-Other reasons that leave me thankful everyday: my wonderful husband, my health, and the cutest nephews and nieces around, among all the others!

What are some reasons you're thankful today?

Little Jessica

Here's a little video of Jessica this morning. I was trying to video her saying "Hi" cause she'll wave and say "I!" and I wanted to get her making her piggy noise with her nose which she does when she sees you do it (which is the sound I'm making in the video) but she thought Brock and her sparkly shoes were more interesting...which at most times...they are!
