Canyon Lake

This past weekend we were able to get away with the Porter Family to Canyon Lake. We had a great time boating, skiing, wakeboarding and tubing. Coley got up on the ski and all the kids actually tried to do it. Jake wanted to ski too so he tried and didnt let go of the rope when he fell! We had a great time! I have a lot of pictures of Alan wakeboarding. I'll post them later after I get them off Dan's camera.

Laughlin

This past weekend we went to Laughlin, NV for Alan's birthday. We stayed there for the weekend and I only managed to get one picture the whole time of Christina and I! I guess we were so busy having fun and doing things I completely forgot to use my camera! We went with David and brought along our friends Garrett, Josh, Christina and Jon. When we got to Laughlin we met up with friends from Cali Derek, David, and Scotty. We had a blast hanging out together and relaxing. On Saturday Christina and I laid out by the pool all day while all the boys went golfing and Saturday night we all went dancing at the Riverside Hotel. We had a great time and we're so glad to be able to spend time with brother David and all our friends! Especially since the drive is only 3.5 hours!

Another Happy Birthday and Some Pictures!

Happy Birthday Mom!!
Yesterday was Alan, and today is Mom! Both Gemini's and one day apart (no wonder they get along so well)! So in honor of my Mom's birthday, I am going to post her favorite thing.....PICTURES OF GRANDKIDS! :) Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

These pictures were taken yesterday at lunch. Dan and Sarah wanted to take Alan to lunch for his birthday and he picked Cheescake Factory! Thanks for lunch Dan and Sarah! (Dan wasn't actually there, due to Scout Camp, but he footed the bill so thanks!) :)

Happy Birthday to My Husband!

Happy Happy Birthday Alan!
Today is Alan's "26th" birthday! Happy Birthday Lover! I just wanted to post a little tribute to Alan on his special day and let him know how much I love him! Here are 26 things that make Alan so special:

1. He is very handsome!
2. He is just as sensitive as me. (which is pretty sensitive) :)
3. He is great, no wonderful, with nieces and nephews and they love him just as much back!
4. He is outgoing, ready to do anything anytime!
5. He always he concerned with what I'm doing and if I'm okay
6. All those times growing up when I was grounded and had to stay home, he always came over to make sure he spent time with me even though I was confined to the house and it probably wasn't the funnest time! (although he says it was my moms dinner that got him over there)
7. Every Sunday in high school he came over for dinner to have "quality time" with my family!
8. He is a great math tutor
9. He is a take charge kinda guy
10. He always remembers birthdays and anniversarys and makes sure each one is special
11. He mows our lawn!
12. He cleans our house!
13. He does his OWN laundry! (Do I sound like a bad wife?)
14. He puts up with my nagging
15. He has been there through thick and thin with me, and has never once left my side
16. He holds the priesthood and takes it seriously
17. He is going to be a great dad one day.
18. He kisses me every morning good bye even when I get upset he wakes me up sometimes, or if I wasn't nice the night before.
19. He takes care of me better than I could ever ask for
20. He takes care of everything I ask him to do, even if I think he forgot, I'll get home and it will be done.
21. He is romantic
22. He likes to give hugs and kisses
23. He has "voices" he does for each and every niece and nephew and I love to hear them all cause it reminds me how involved he is with the kidders.
24. He is always willing to help
25. He is incredible
26. He loves me more than ever and I love that the most about him! :)

So, Happy Birthday, to the best guy around! I love you Al!

The Joys of being Healthy

So as many of you know I have been trying to get healthy, (it's been great fun let me tell you) and get back into shape like I was in High School (or close to) so I have been trying to eat well and healthy which has worked really well for me. I'm not a big fan of exercise so I figured if I cut back calories and eat well I would notice the difference which I definitely have and it has totally worked. But after doing this for a few months now I've noticed I've kind of come to a stand still. My body won't do it for me anymore and maybe I need to get out and actually work for it to loose the rest of the weight, argh! :( So my question is, does anyone have any tips on an easy but affective workout? Any tips on new foods that might help jump start the process again and get my body going? Anything? Maybe I should just suck it up and start running! :)
