David's graduation and some fun in the sun!

This last weekend was David's graduation! The fun started on Friday night when family and friends got together at David and Lindsay's house to celebrate, then on Saturday Alan and I had the chance to attend the actual ceremony and see David walk! Congrats to David!

A Couple of Things...

I caught a few things on camera this week I wanted to share...the first one is of Jakey riding his bike ALL BY HIMSELF with no training wheels! (I actually took this one on the 4th but haven't posted it yet)

This next video is of Uncle and Imi talking about sharks and fishes. When Imi was out visiting Grandpa and Grandma last month, they took him to the Long Beach Aquarium and since then Imi has been carrying around the pamphlet they hand out there with all the sharks, Rays, and Fishes you will see. Alan and I went through each page of that pamphlet a million times with him while he was hanging out with us! He can name almost all of them! What 3 yr old knows about Bat Rays, and Purple Sea Urchins and Leopard Sharks?! (Sorry...It's kinda a long video)

And finally, last night Alan was mowing and cleaning up our back yard and decided to fill up the doggy pool for the pups we had there (we had one visiting last night to play with Sadie). The two pups, Sadie and Sam, LOVED the pool and would jump in and out and since they are little it is a good size pool to them. Well, Luke is older and kinda hangs back and watches the crowd at the house when we have pups over to play, but he decided they were having too much fun in the pool and wanted to join in on the fun. Too bad the pool barely passes his ankles, he is so big! I just thought it was funny!

Weekend Happenings....

This weekend was a relaxing one for Alan and I. Saturday we spent the day over at James and Megan's house (without Megan and the kidders :( WE MISSED U!) swimming in the pool and having a BBQ. Normally by now the water in pools are like warm baths and not so refreshing anymore, but their pool was just the right temp! Nice and cool for a warm day!

Everyone!! Cade, Leah and James
James had some music playing and Logan was dancing around in circles and it was hilarious! I only caught the very end on video but it was too cute not to post!

Then Saturday night Alan and I were coming home from a movie late when we pulled into our subdivision to find the whole thing was flooded! There was water pouring into our subdivision fast and wasnt stopping anytime soon, so Alan went to the corner of the street to ask a cop directing traffic for some kind of help and nothing, then he called HOA and no answer, then he called Rural Metro and no help, we couldnt get anyone to help! So the next morning it was still flooding everywhere and finally around 1-2pm the next day the city or someone got help and stopped the flooding but our subdivision was still flooded everywhere! I guess the story I hear is a farmer accidentally hit the dam that holds the water from the Gila River and it was pouring out everywhere. The houses on the other side of our subdivision got the worst with backyards being flooded and everything. If only someone was around and willing to help the night before they probably could have avoided a lot of damage! They stopped the flooding yesterday but the road to our subdivision is still closed and our retenion is so full of water!

Our 4th Celebration!

Alan and I decided kinda last minute to drive out to Cali for the 4th weekend. Alan likes to light fireworks and since you can't in AZ, back to Cali it was! We left on Wednesday night after work and headed out to CA. Dan and Sarah were already there so we got to hang out with Dad and Mom and the Porters.
On Thursday we all went to Raging Waters:

Two cute buggers and a congrats!

Alan and I had the privilege of watching Imi and Ma'a on Monday night while Leah and Carl had a quite night out to take a break from Carl studying for this provisional test for becoming a processor. We are also babysitting one of our pups that Sarah and Dan kept, Sadie. Here's what happens when you put the two together:
The boys thought it was great fun to lock themselves in the kennel and act like puppies! Imi would bark and whine like one of the pups until alan opened the door to let him out! It was too funny! We found out this morning that Carl passed his test and is on his way to becoming a processor! CONGRATS!
