Soccer and Birthday Parties!

This past weekend Alan and I got to take a break from studying and go to two of our nephews soccer game. Porter and Brock did an awesome job!

After their soccer game it was off to Sarah's to celebrate Jake's 4th birthday and Isaac's 2nd! We went swimming (hence the half naked boys!) and ate pizza, cake and ice cream!

We had a great time hanging out with the family and it was a nice break from school. We also got to spend the night at Port, Katie and Carson's house and had a blast playing barbies (even Uncle Alan played with Katie!) and Mario Kart with Porter!

First day of 16 months...DONE!

Yesterday marked the first day of a long 16 months ahead of me! I have now completed Nursing Orientation. The first real day of class starts Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday) and I'm excited to get into the class and see exactly what its all about! I was a little overwhelmed when I needed to borrow a dollie to take my books to the car but nonetheless, I'm excited to finally be starting the program!

On a lighter note, we've had Leah and the boys this week with us since Carl is out of town and it has been alot of fun! Carl gets home tonight and I'm sad to lose them!

We are looking forward to relaxing this weekend and doing NOTHING! :)

Home Sweet Home

Since Nursing School starts for me on Thursday, Alan and I decided to take a trip together this last weekend before I get swamped in school, and what better place to visit but home to California to spend a weekend with my parents! We left Thursday after work and got into Cali late night and my parents had a "Good Luck Alice" cake and balloons waiting for our arrival! :) It was really sweet!

On Friday we hung around by the house, and went to dinner and a movie and then Saturday we went down to Redondo Beach for some crab! When I was little we used to go down there as a family and eat crab so it was exciting to take Alan there to share in the fun!
You actually get to pick your live crab and they steam them right there, so they are super fresh when you eat them! I'm not a crab fan but Alan LOVED it and so does my dad!

We had such a great time with my parents in Cali we didn't want to come home! Thanks Dad and Mom for such a WONDERFUL weekend! We love you!

Jessi's way or no way!

Well..last night I went to Sarah and Dan's to find that Jessi had FINALLY decided it was time for her to walk! She has been getting better and better these last few weeks taking her sweet time getting ready and last night she realized she was on parade and was walking all over the place! For those of you that know Jessica, it's her way or no way! I guess she just decided it was time! When she would get to her destination she would wait for all of us to yell "yahhh!" and start clapping and then she would laugh and clap along with us!

This morning the Porter kiddos had there first day of school! I met Sarah and my mom and we walked to school with them!
