Alaska has come to an end!

Well, we arrived home this afternoon from Alaska, and I have to say the time flew by. (Doesnt it always when your having fun?) But we had an awesome time! The weather couldnt have been better, I didnt bring a jacket on a couple of days because it was sooo sunny and bright! We sure got some great weather and had a great time! We went on helicopter in Juneau and got to walk on the Medenhall Glacier, we went horseback riding and dog sleding in Skagway and down a rapid river float in Canada, not to mention all the food and sleep we got! (Well, sleep I got, I slept soo much! Alan ate soooo much!) We had a wonderful time and are sad our Alaska Crusie has come to an end. (Back to regular life!) Here are a couple of pictures from our trip, I posted all of them on our website if anyone wants to see them (link to the right in friends column).

Finally....a new post

I have been horrible at blogging lately, due to the fact that I'm trying to get my life in order before I leave for a week to go on a CRUISE! Yep, the countdown has begun, we take off on Thursday! I'm finally starting to get excited, I think that's because last night my husband sold the last and final puppy to a good home! Which is a major relief. I didn't know what we'd do with a pup while we were gone, but Alan worked his little tail end off to get those puppies sold and not only sold but to good homes, or so it seems. So a HUGE thanks to my husband for all his hard work in the puppy department. After he came home and started cleaning our bathroom where we had the pups set up and I got a little sad. (Can you believe that?!) I'll miss those little pups always wanting to cuddle and play. I was a little sad until I got to actually sleep in MY bed (instead of downstairs) and get ready this morning in MY bathroom for the first time in 6 weeks!

Tonight Alan and I got to go see Leah at a PTA fundraiser at McDonalds. The teachers were working there and a portion of the sales for that night get donated to the school. It was fun to hang out with Ma'a, Imi and Carl while we watched Leah stress out about Chicken Nuggets! (Love you seester!) I even captured a picture of the event!

So I have a couple more things on my "to do" list before we take off but I know I'll get them done and then we'll be off for an adventure in Alaska!

This Last Week

Here's what we've been up to this last week:

Last Saturday we celebrated Katie's big 3rd birthday and Brianna's 7th birthday!

Then we went to Cole and Brianna's Music Recital...
No more music, but straight to piano lessons!

On Sunday we were on Porter kid duty till last night! And got to love this little bugger for 5 days.....

Last night when I got home Imi came over for some entertainment, and boy, he is definitely that. Here he is being Optimus Prime from the transformer movie...

We had an eventful week and are so glad the weekend has finally arrived for some rest! (and hopefully to sell some puppies!)

Out of his mind!

Today around 2:45pm I got a call from Alan. He had just landed from jumping out of a plane! Yep, you heard me right, he skydived. Now let me give you the back story, last year for Alan's birthday I couldn't think of a thing to get him, I always had skydiving in the back of my mind since he ALWAYS talks about one day actually doing it. So I thought "Yeah, what the heck? He'd love it." Not actually thinking it all the way through, I don't know if I just thought he would never do it or what but as soon as he started talking about scheduling it I freaked! I did NOT want my husband jumping from ANY airplanes! I told him we could give the gift certificate away! After much pleading I made the mistake of saying "if you EVER go and actually do it, I don't want to know about it until AFTER you've landed and are safe." So that is EXACTLY what he did. He scheduled it, jumped from an airplane at 13,000 ft and called me as soon as he landed! Can you believe that?! Here are some pictures from his experience! He has a DVD of the whole thing and as soon as the company posts it online I will link it on my blog in case anyone wants to see!
