A Pup Update

This weekend Alan and I decided it was time to give our puppies a new place to live. We currently had them in a BIG kiddie pool which worked GREAT until they realized they could conveniently escape over the sides leaving Alan and I to a mess on our tile bathroom floor. It would be fine to leave them on the tile since it's not carpet BUT then our bathroom will smell like dogs because of the grout which I'm definitely not about. So last night for FHE we decided to make a Home Depot trip. Now, normally in a situation like this that requires skill and building materials for the home, you can count me out and Alan always has the plan, but this time around Alan actually wanted me to participate and go to Home Depot and brainstorm with him so I took the opportunity. Of course he already had a great plan but he let me in on the decision making (As I pretended to know what we were talking about). We decided on getting a roll of vinyl (linoleum) flooring to lay down over the tile floor so the doggies could walk around all over the vinyl flooring pottying until their hearts content and it would stay right there on the vinyl until we cleaned it up. Also, they are learning to eat on their own and if anyone has trained a pup to eat food, it's good fun, believe me. So because the pups are in our bathroom the shower and bath and closet are their walls, which makes it nice. We were concerned about our cabinets so Alan (who had already thought of this issue) put big cardboard boxes (closed like in a square) up to block them. We didn't get to bed until 11:00pm after cleaning up the bathroom and building the pups new home but all in all, it was a GREAT idea. Now the pups are OFF our tile and grout on vinyl and have tons more room to walk around and play. We even made a potty section, a eating section, and a sleeping section like we were told, but come on who are we kidding? So, I feel a TON better now and can actually sleep at night knowing the doggies are in their new home and not escaping out the sides of a kiddie pool, so thanks Alan (cause I know you secretly read our blog) for always making everything work!

Busy Weekend

This weekend was soo busy for us. On Friday night we were able to have David, Linds and Logan to play and hang out which is always a blast then Saturday morning we were up bright and early to see our nephew Cole get baptized and even brighter and earlier on Sunday to see our nephew Carson be blessed. Sunday afternoon we all spent the day together at the park having family time since my parents were here from California for the weekend.

Middle Name Tag

MIDDLE NAME MEME

1) You must post the rules on your post before you answer questions.

2) You need to list one fact about yourself using each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name use your maiden name instead.

3) When you are finished with your answers, you tag one person for each letter of your name.

Y-young pups! (That's all I could think of starting with Y) Maybe it's because that's all my life is about right now, are those pups!

V-Very ready to be done with school! I feel like I've been in school forever and I haven't even started the Nursing Program yet! I'm very ready to get in and get it done and start working!

E-Everyone's Aunt! I'm sooo lucky to have so many nieces and nephews to love and play with! I learn so much from each one of them each day and they are all so stinkin CUTE! Alan and I would be so bored without them! They keep ours lives entertaining!

T-Truly blessed! I have the best husband who takes great care of me and knows how to keep me in line!, the best family that supports me in all that I do and best of all provides me with my nieces and nephews and allows me to be involved in their growing lives, and a gospel to follow and center my life around.

T-talkative! I love to talk! My poor mom or sisters have to listen to me gab everyday when I'm driving home! (It's a looong, boring drive!) In fact when I call Alan on my way home he always knows I'm calling to chat for awhile and he'll say "okay see you when you get home" and I'll ignore it and bring up another topic and this goes back and forth for awhile until he says "Okay, call your mom or Leah now" haha...

E-extra organized! I'd like to think I'm pretty organized with most things BUT with some things I'm extra organized. For example, at home, I have to know where everything is and everything has a spot to go in!

Cutest Baseball Player Around

How cute is this picture? Last night I got to see Brocky in action playing at his baseball game. Last year I went to Brock's soccer game and he wasn't having it, but this year he actually did really well at bat and can hit the ball really far! He still had some Brock in him though...while out on the field we would occasionally see him sitting on the ground playing in the dirt or throwing his mit up and catching it, but hey, it's a long time to stand for those little guys!

8 additions to our family!

On Saturday around 8:00am I noticed Abby getting ready for the arrival of her pups! At 1:40pm Abby delivered her 1st pup and kept delivering until 8:00pm that night! At the end of the long day her count was 3 boys and 5 girls! She had 2 whiter yellow, 3 yellow, 2 black and 1 chocolate. We thought she was done at 7 pups but 2 hours after the 7th another one made its arrival! She has been a great mama, cleaning and feeding the pups! It was an awesome experience to get to be a part of and we are so glad (along with Abby, I'm sure!) that it's all over and all the pups are healthly!

Funny Picture

I love this picture for 2 reasons:

1) It's of 2 of my nephews (one who covered himself in water right before the picture was taken)
2) Imi (on the right) is 6 months YOUNGER than Jake (on the left)

Jake is pretty little and Imi is, well, not so it makes it funny because Jake is the oldest of the two by half a year and you'd never guess it!
